Lonely bookworm seeks similar! I'm getting tired of having to write these blurbs so I'll keep it brief. I'm quirky, arty, funny and bright and spend quite a lot of time with my head in a book. I wouldn't say that I had a favourite genre or author - but I like period novels, magical realism and I'm not adverse to horror if it's well written (as so much of it isn't - love HP Lovecraft, MR James, Algernon Blackwood etc). I like Jorges Luis Borges, Octavio Paz, Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Patrick Suskind amongst others. Books I've read recently that I've really enjoyed include 'The Stolen Child', 'the Runt', 'Burning Bright and 'the Book of Lost Things'. Long standing favourites include 'Auto de Fe', 'The Wasp Factory', 'Perfume' and 'One Hundred Years of Solitude'. I'm looking to extend my social network and for that special someone, so if you share similar literary tastes please drop me a line.
