Non-fiction reader looking for mindmate I am an intelligent young man looking for a woman who I can talk to about deep-ideas, especially the ones found in tomes written by PhDs. I enjoy reading about philosophy, social sciences, psychology and really anything that helps me understand the world. Sometimes even fictional writings that are deep and powerful in helping me understand the world I live in better.

My favorite author is a tough question. I often have different favorites depending on my mood, here's a list of some favorites:
Dan Dennett
Friedrich Hayek
Friedrich Nietzsche
Brett Easton Ellis
Chuck Palahniuk
Douglas Coupland

Also, to be direct on what I believe about the world, I am an atheist. I think that reason can tell us that supernatural ideas are not the best explanation for how the world works. It's not that I haven't seriously considered the issue. I've read the Bible. I've read various philosophical writings about religion, and I understand the various arguments for and against the existence of the supernatural. I've even read social scientific writings on religion. I simply think that it's false.

I'd love to get your book recommendations though. Especially anything that can teach me something.
