While the city has its attractions, I'm a nature girl at heart and usually would rather be outdoors hiking, exploring or reading. I hope to leave the East Coast behind at some future date. I'm a pop science geek and tend to read about it, as well as history, philosophy, and historical fiction.
Some favorite authors/books: Annie Dillard, Mark Helprin, James Michener, E.O. Wilson, Stephen Jay Gould, Daniel Quinn, the Bronte sisters, Julian Barnes and more.
I also enjoy experimenting with new vegetarian recipes, listening to blues and folk music, drawing and travel. I can be equally serious or silly, which hopefully is a good thing
