Taking me somewhere new, opening my mind, what else could I want? I enjoy reading because... well, I always have, truthfully. I don't think that I can quantify it. There's no rhyme or reason to it, I just love reading. My favorite authors are George RR Martin, Terry Pratchett, David Eddings, Frank Herbert, Jeffrey Deaver, and John Steinbeck. Those are really just the few off the top of my head, though. My favorite genres are High Fantasy, Science Fiction, Thrillers, and I'm starting to look into Alternate History and Steampunk literature.

Most of all, I like deep characters, compelling character interaction, twists and turns that keep me turning pages for hours, and gripping books that I just can't put down.
