I love reading because, depending on the type of book, it can be very informative, or offer a great way to escape the druggery of everyday life. I'm a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy novels, some historical books, and some more spiritual or self-help books.
My favorite author is a tie between Larry Niven (I love the Man-Kzin Wars series of books) and Richard Knaak (Dragonrealm and some of the AD@D Dragonlance novels).
