Plato, Plato, & More Plato By which I mean not only reading the spiritual children of Plato himself, but also the spiritual children over whose births he has presided & whose conceptions he has inspired--whether the spiritual children of Philosophers like Plotinus & the Neoplatonists, Augustine & the Christian Platonists, Pico & Ficino, on down to Strauss & Voegelin in the 20th century; but also those Poets who have helped pave the way for Kallipolis, from Vergil & Dante to Sidney, Spenser, & Shakespeare; Donne & Milton; Blake, Coleridge, Wordsworth, & Shelley; to Tennyson & Whitman, Yeats & Eliot.
