So who feels like Dan Brown isn't trying anymore? I'm a 23 year old combat medic who is looking to leave the military around christmas, much to my delight. I'm also a secular humanist, and look forward to returning to college so I can finish my bachelor's in BioChem and Molecular Biology. Primarily what I'm looking for a friend or a person with whom I can relate, though I would not say no were an actual relationship to follow.
I enjoy a fairly diverse range of literature, but if I had to narrow it down to a few categories it would be dystopian fiction and British comedy. George Orwell's "1984" of course stands out as a prime example but I think that there are some more recent examples of such things that stand out as being excellent, such as "The Hunger Games."
There are some books that I hold almost sacred, among which are the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the His Dark Materials series.
