Like many other readers,as a child, I needed to find alternate worlds Books were then and still are magical to me. I love high callibre fiction, both modern and classical. My book group just read Anthony Trollope's, The Way We Live Now, and I thought it was amazing - such a rich political, social and economic landscape. So many comparisons between England of the 1850's to the U.S.'s current economic porblems. The main villian bears a surprising likeness to Bernie Madoff. I am now trying to make it through d---ens' Martin Chuzzlewit, another book group selection.
