I can't fall asleep without reading a few pages... When I'm alone, I also read at the table, and in the bath. I teach literature, so you'd think I'd leave the books at school, but no, they follow me everywhere-- big nineteenth century novels, science fiction and fantasy, history and biography, cookbooks. I've been single for a bit and keep meeting guys who don't read, which means we have nothing to talk about after the first few minutes. If you read everything from James Joyce to Dan Simmons, if you know what a chronosynclastic infundibula is, if you seriously considered naming your firstborn Cassandra or Ajax, drop me a line.

Other things about me: I love to travel (Europe mostly) but I also love curling up at home. I have had just about any kind of pet you can imagine, except birds, because flying things don't belong in cages, and spiders, because eek. I would rather walk ten miles than run half a mile. I'm a good cook. Marvel beats DC every time. I can name as many of the Valar as Stephen Colbert can. And people either think I'm pretty funny or don't get me at all.
