Terry Pratchet fan Equal Rites is one of the few books I have worried about what was happening to the characters when I wasn't reading it. Got me hooked on his Discworld series. These books include comedy, social comment and wonderful wordplay. And of course the footnotes. And the footnotes to the footnotes! One character in Discworld was based on John Lennon and he was performing in a city where the economy was based on the production of cheese - cheese was a way of life. The singer came up with the line "I'm more popular than cheeses!"
