Portrait of the Author as a Single Girl I was going to write "I'm what you do with a B.A. in English," meaning I'm what happens when you graduate with an English degree--you begin looking for love on the internet with other people who are passionate about reading... but then I realized how that title sounded, and I'm not that kind of girl. I'm totally the kind of girl who will say something without thinking and then blush for the next five minutes when it dawns on me what I've said.

Still, I'm fun and flirty and I have a lovely ability to talk and keep a conversation going... dating back from my days as social butterfly in high school and college. (I've managed to talk this much without even thinking of a title.)

What about "To Date, or Not To Date?" No, that might attract people like the Emo Prince himself, and I'm generally bright, bubbly, and optimistic.

Title chosen... though, I'm not certain how apt it is, as I have never actually read it.

This is probably a signal that I should tell you actual information about me... my likes, my dislikes, etc.

Like: Neil Gaiman (his comics, novels, and short stories)
Dislike: The Twilight books (The first two were ok, but not worthy of the incredibly hype)
Like: The Beatles, The -----, David Bowie, Queen, Simon and Garfunkel
Dislike: Rap music that is demeaning or offensive or too-twangy country music (though country music with a rock base is fine)
