Emotional Depth Cable TV Cannot Supply I have very eclectic taste in books. Right now I am reading the God of Small Things by Roy - she is an amazing author.
The two reasons I read? 1) I am a writer, and as Stephen King wrote in 'On Writing' - to be a decent writer, you must always read more then you write. 2) I love it - my imagination is stimulated, my mind entertained, and I get so much more into the story than I ever can watching TV or movies.
Not to mention: Mark Twain, Issac Asimov, Edgar Allen Poe. . .where would society be without them?
