I enjoy reading crime/mystery novels mostly, but I really enjoyed the Harry Potter series (which truly surprised me). I took a class in college on Third World Woman Writers and was introduced to many wonderful novels and writers - my favorite being Isabel Allende. That led me to Gabriel Garcia Marquez and One Hundred Years of Solitude, which is probably one of my all time favorites. I like the classics too - I haven't read enough of them, but what I have read, I have really enjoyed..Bronte, Shakespeare, Twain, Dostoyevsky, Lawrence, Wharton...I would love to write a novel someday, but my attempts to start have been stalled. The idea just hasn't come to me yet. I think I write better non-fiction than fiction, but I hope in time to break through the block and publish one of America's great novels....(don't we all?)
