Elijahlove23 I absolutely love to read non-fiction books; auto-biographies, history books, ( mainly African and African-american history and civil war history ). I also love reading the World Almanac, cook books, sports books and my Quran and Bible. This may sound weird, but I like to read more than watching TV. I seriously have plenty of favorite books, but my favorite book of all time is by Alex Haley ( The Autobiography of Malcolm X ). However, my favorite author is Michael Eric Dysn. I really love his books, especially these two books: "Why I love Black Women" and "Know What I Mean: Reflections on Hip Hop". Mr. Dyson is such an inspiring, intellectual brotha who holds no punches when it comes to uplifting and educationg the black community on a range of topics like sexism, drugs, homophobia, faith, love and relationships , etc. A few more of my favorite authors are Dr. Cornel West, Steven Petrow, and Jay-Z. Believe it or not, but Jay-Z really surprised me how good of a write he is. I love knowledge. I am one of those people who watch JEOPARDY every day just to learn something new and when I can't get it there I'll pick up a book. Call me old-fashioned but I really do love to read, something people just don't do a lot of these days - well, books anyway.
